  • Wear comfortable, breathable clothing that doesn’t restrict movement. Leggings, shorts, and a fitted top are great. Avoid too-loose clothes that may get in the way of some poses.

  • At Temple Yoga, yes! For personal hygiene reasons, it’s always best to bring one. If you go frequently, consider investing in a nice-feeling-good-grip-and-cushioning yoga mat. ;)

  • Yes! Most of our yoga classes in Bondi are for beginners. Check out Hatha, Yin or Vinyasa Flow; all these are considered friendly classes for beginners. Our instructor will modify the pose for you accordingly.

  • It depends on your goals. Practising 2-3 times a week is great for beginners, while more advanced practitioners may do yoga daily. Consistency is key to seeing benefits.

  • Yes! While yoga alone will not burn as many calories as intense cardio exercises, it helps build strength and flexibility and decrease stress, which all promote weight loss. The more physically demanding styles, like Vinyasa, can help keep you fit.
