She started teaching in 2015 and loves inspiring students to connect to their spirit and community through yoga. Ellie began practicing yoga in 2010 to address injuries from competitive college tennis in the US. Over time, yoga became her passion. She completed her teacher training in 2015 at Prana Yoga Center in La Jolla, California, with Gerhard Gessner and Sara Deakin. She also completed Power Vinyasa training with CorePower Yoga in San Diego, CA, and Yin training with Wiebke Queisser in Bondi Beach, NSW.

In her personal life, yoga plays a significant role, and she is grateful for this practice, which has illuminated the path to living her best life and fostered a deep connection between her physical and spiritual self.

Emily
Em completed her teacher training in 2014, and she wants to share the joy and healing of yoga with others.
Em believes that yoga is not about the shapes we make on the mat. Yoga happens when we invite it into our lives and commit to living by its values and lessons. Yoga has helped Em discover her authentic self and begin to let go of self-judgment, expectation, and comparison.
Emily trained at Byron Yoga Centre and has since completed several teacher training with Power Living, Yoga Therapeutics training with Amy Ippoliti, pre-and postnatal yoga, and Yoga for Kids. She has also commenced studying SmartFLOW® with Annie Carpenter.

In 2021, I completed another 200 Hour Yoga Training with Power Living Online, to broaden my knowledge of anatomy and teaching Power Flow.

Marc
Marc Wittenberg, trained by Duncan Peak and mentored by Eileen Hall, offers energetic and joyful yoga classes. His transformative experiences with Buddhist Vipassana Meditation and Ashtanga Yoga highlight the mental and physical benefits of yoga. Despite starting yoga later in life, Marc believes in its power to transform anyone, regardless of age or ability. He emphasizes that even minimal asana practice, combined with meditation and scripture study, can make a significant difference. Yoga makes the impossible possible!

Suyin
Suyin discovered Yoga in her twenties, exploring various lineages like Iyengar, Ashtanga, Hatha, and YIN. In 2011, she felt a deeper connection to Yoga as a daily practice, embracing YIN Yoga's slower pace. By 2018, she began teaching, finding a profound connection to physical, energetic,
and emotional aspects of being. Suyin shares this awareness with students at Manumission and through her enterprise, SUNDAY SLOW, making YIN Yoga accessible to people with disabilities and mental health challenges. Her greatest teachers are her friends, students, family, and YIN mentors Jamie Strathairn and Wiebke Queisser.

Mercedes
Mercedes Cherry is a yoga teacher who views her practice as her most treasured tool for self-awareness, presence, and compassion. With a deep commitment to mindfulness, Mercedes creates a welcoming and nurturing environment in her classes, encouraging students to explore their inner selves. Through a combination of breathwork and carefully crafted asanas, Mercedes creates space for her students to dive in to their journey of self-discovery, promoting not only physical strength and flexibility but also mental clarity, emotional resilience, and a broader perspective. She is passionate about sharing the transformative power of yoga and inspiring others to live with greater intention and compassion.
